Wired

“I thought we were going to be wireless.”
“We are wireless.”
“Well, what are all this lot then?”
“Er, they’re wires. But they’re different wires. We don’t have wires for the network, that bit’s wireless.”
“So we’re not really wireless at all then, are we? There’s lots of wires here.”
“Yes I know but look down here. This part is the router” (I display my new toy rather proudly) “and it is wireless.”
“No it isn’t, it’s got wires coming out of it.”
“Er, yes it has.”

Definition:
Wireless network: a network which uses quite a lot of wires actually.
