This would look lovely in any light, at any time of year, but there was something very fitting about this giant golden windfall amongst all the autumn leaves.

If you go down to the woods today…

… you will find a giant bear looking at you.

At 3m tall, this bear certainly is very large. And very excellent. I love his slightly stylised form.

Simon Stock, Deputy Director of Impressionist & Modern Art at Sotheby’s, presents a video showcasing some of the sculptures. It’s worth watching, but be quick – I don’t know how long it will stay on Sotheby’s site once the exhibition has finished.
