Only when I laugh

Does anyone actually laugh out loud when they type LOL? I wonder… I’m not laughing out loud, but I was earlier.
First LOL moment of the weekend was this:
see more Lolcats and funny pictures
…but when I shared it with Mr TLC he didn’t even smile, he just looked kind of thoughtful.
“I’ve got two cats,” he said, “but I don’t fancy a flood.”
Oh. That wasn’t quite the reaction I had envisaged. Perhaps he could just stand in the bath.

I normally go to Doug’s place for rather more serious stuff, but this was a cracker. The iPad (Who came up with that name? Honestly) vs a stone. Brilliant.
*******
Remember Eadweard Muybridge’s famous galloping horse? Now meet Balakov’s Lego version.

…and finally, this blog post was funny, but it was the comments that made me choke on my coffee. Enjoy!

The real three-legged cat
Welcome! Hi, I'm Lois Lindemann. Welcome to my blog!
This is where I blither on about life, the universe and everything - sometimes even three-legged cats.
I am: a resident of Sheffield (it's been my home town for more than 20 years), a Londoner, a teacher of maths and ICT and a student of French.
I like: cats, Sheffield, walking, doing the pub quiz, maths, cooking, reading, red wine, theatre, weekends in London, cycling, eating out, museums, gardening, going to the cinema, real ale, learning French and spending far too much time online. (My partner, Mr TLC, says this is making me sound like a lonely hearts ad. Oh well.)
Any opinions expressed in this blog are my own, I don't claim to speak for anyone else in education or outside of it. If you disagree, feel free to comment!

Very good
I LOL ( O.K so I really didn’t ) at the photo but Mr TLC’s reaction confirms to me that men are indeed from Mars as suspected.
In my case, I guess “LOL” is translated more as “I’d laugh if you’d said that to my face, but as there are people around who’d look at me as if I’d lost the plot if I laughed out loud, I’ll just give a slight smile and laugh inside instead”.
I love the iPad v Stone piece. I also liked another iPad post I saw somewhere (if I find it I’ll come back and post the URL for you) which was a print-out-your-own-iPad piece. If only I had a decent colour printer …
As for “Coyote Crossing” … I suspect I may have found another regular read, so thanks for that too
And, by the way … LOL
Found this on one of my regular forums, thought it might make you smile (if this works, that is):

After it was marked and the child brought it home, she returned to school the next day with the following note:
Dear Ms. Davis,
I want to be very clear on my child’s illustration. It is NOT of me on a dance pole on a stage in a strip joint. I work at B&Q and had commented to my daughter how much money we made in the recent snowstorm. This picture is of me selling a shovel.
Mrs. Harrington
Well that didn’t work properly, try this:
