Daily Bread

I love homemade bread. I also enjoy making it, although to be honest I’ve never really been completely happy with the results. My bread is nice, but it never quite turns out exactly how I want it to.

I like making bread, but I rarely make the time to do it. I’ve often been tempted by the idea of a breadmaker, but it seemed like giving in somehow.

Well I gave in, I bought one and it turns out that it makes much, much better bread than I can. The loaf is a slightly unconventional shape, but we turned it on its side to slice it which was fine, with the added bonus that the slices actually fit in the toaster. Of course the most important thing is the taste, and it tastes blooming fantastic. I like my new toy, why didn’t I give in and buy one years ago?
