Deja Vu

Getting ready for work this morning I decided to wear my grey trousers. They’re actually rather smart, but for some reason I rarely wear them.

I put on a white shirt. Nothing unusual about that, most of my work shirts are white.

I dither for a moment about what else to wear.

One problem with the grey trousers is that they aren’t part of a suit, which may be why they tend to languish in the wardrobe. I grab my green cardigan. (Trust me, it’s much nicer than it sounds.)

I glance at myself in the mirror and am overcome with a sudden sense of deja vu. Then I realise that I am wearing my old primary school uniform.

I am about to go to school, so it’s not entirely inappropriate. It still feels a little strange though. Wonder why I did that?
